Five kitchens since 1986
We've cooked in five locations across California and Alabama, under the names Royal Taj and Taj India. Our newest space in Birmingham is brighter, with more room and more parking.
The tandoor and the spice dial
We cook in the tandoor, a traditional clay oven, with fresh meats, herbs, delicate spices and homemade dairy products. Pick your heat: mild, medium, hot or extra hot.
Punjab, Kerala and the Mughal table
Our dishes come from different parts of India, including Punjab in the north and Kerala in the south, and a few date back to the Mughal Empire.
